The academy's leadership was praised for providing ‘effective leadership and clarity of vision’.

Classrooms were also praised as ‘typically calm and industrious’.

Carly Rollings, co-head of school said: "We are absolutely delighted that Ofsted has recognised the hard work, dedication, and clear vision driving The Eastbourne Academy forward.

"The praise regarding our calm, industrious classrooms and the polite, respectful nature of our students is a testament to the incredible efforts of our staff, children and families.”

Steve Rickard, co-head of school, added: “While we are celebrating these very well-deserved achievements today, we remain fully focused on the journey ahead.

"We know there is still vital work to be done and we look forward to building on this fantastic momentum."
