Littlehampton pupils’ horticultural efforts are hailed

THESE children have been praised for making their school a greener place to study.

Littlehampton’s mayor, Emma Neno, surprised this group of green-fingered pupils at River Beach Primary School, presenting them with a trophy they won in the gardens and allotments competition, held by the Littlehampoton Town Council.

The youngsters had been working tirelessly after school to plant and cultivate flowers as part of River Beach’s fledgling gardening club.

Teacher Stephanie Biggs said the children were “delighted” to have been awarded with the accolade.
