School given a helping hand to create library

Lindsey Parslow founder of charity Business2Schools, helped source furniture including bookshelves, tables, chairs and beanbags.

The caretaking team at Bishop Luffa helped to transform the ‘once tired and disused space’ to turn it into 'a welcoming space where children can come and get lost in a book'.

Lisa Harris, head of Rumboldswhyke, said: “At our grand opening of the new library, the children were keen to demonstrate to Mrs Regan, one of the Bishop Luffa librarians, their extensive knowledge about fiction and non-fiction books.

"Mrs Parslow cut the ribbon and declared the library officially open. The children excitedly filed in so Mrs Regan could explain the layout of the library and share one of the fabulous new picture books.

"We cannot wait to see children accessing our beautiful new library and enjoying the wonderful books. Our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this wonderful project.”
