Coronavirus: South of England Classic Motorcycle Show at Ardingly cancelled

As a precautionary measure against the coronavirus outbreak, the event – which was set to take place at Ardingly on Sunday, March 29 – will be rescheduled for the future.

The Ashford Classic Bike Show and Jumble has also been cancelled.

Julie Diplock, event organiser, said: “The decision to postpone the two events is taken with great disappointment, but, in the light of the government announcement advising people to stay away from gatherings we have no choice.

“Avoiding the spread of the virus is of paramount concern and we do not want to expose any of the many people who are involved in the events to the risk of spread. Many of us are elderly, and will be self-isolating as from this weekend.

“Our first priority in the coming days is to cancel the arrangements that had been put in place for both events.

“This will be an exceptionally busy time for us.

We are working on rescheduling both events, more details will follow as they become available.”
