Hailsham doctor’s surgery improves its rating

The Care Quality Commission visited Bridgeside Surgery in Western Road, Hailsham, on November 14, and gave it an overall rating of ‘good’.

The CQC report, which has since been published, said the surgery, which was previously rated ‘requires improvement’, demonstrated effective care and treatment that met patients’ needs.

Staff dealt with patients with kindness and respect and involved them in decisions about their care and worked well together, the report said.

It added: “The way the practice was led and managed promoted the delivery of high-quality, person-centre care.

“The practice had acted to improve their risk management processes and we saw health and safety risk assessments had been carried out and action taken to mitigate the risks.”
