Frances Russell, chair of Healthwatch West Sussex, said: “Our Health and Social Care system is going through massive change.

“Every voice counts when it comes to shaping the future, but people rarely speak up, some perhaps for fear of repercussions, others because they don’t think they can make a difference.”

The Healthwatch team is encouraging people to have a bedside chat in order to help build up a picture of how well health and social care services are performing.

Healthwatch investigates consumers’ concerns and tells decision makers about these issues so they can take action.

Healthwatch is interested to hear about good experiences of health and social care too. It believes it is important that decision makers know what consumers think is working well, especially when planning new services.
