The society said thousands of visitors attended the family event at the South of England Showground on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19.
Corrie Ince, show director at the South of England Agricultural Society, said: “We are delighted to report that Spring Live! 2026 was a huge success. Once again, families flocked to the showground to enjoy a true country show, packed with activities and entertainment for everyone, regardless of their age. It was wonderful to see so many children meeting the animals, having a go at learning new skills, and enjoying the many displays on offer.
“As a charity, our aim is not only to entertain but to educate and inspire future generations about the importance of agriculture and rural industries. Events like this are part of our commitment to building awareness and understanding of land-based careers, and any profits directly support our ongoing work in agricultural education and countryside learning.”
The weekend was headlined by the RPM Biketrials Display.
It also featured: an animal barn where visitors could meet Dexter Cattle, Hampshire Down Sheep and Kune Kune Pigs; a Pygmy Goat Show; an Alpaca Show; have-a-go sessions by Quad Squad Dog Agility; and a fun dog show.
The society said hands-on activities included: archery, axe-throwing, bushcraft skills, circus skills, wand-making workshops and a chocolate workshop. The event also offered: Mini Monster Mania Trucks, donkey rides, a Sheep Show, a Fluffy Duck Trail where families could explore the Showground, and a model cow (Clover) to milk. Kids could also handle reptiles and amphibians with the Hampshire Reptile Trust and have a go at seed planting.
Displays for families included wood carving, kite flying and lawnmower racing.
In the horticultural area, visitors could chat with expert gardeners, explore vintage machinery and see the floral competition entries. There were plenty of independent producers at the event too, selling clothing, jewellery, homeware, artisan food and drink, and gifts.
The South of England Show is next and is set to take place this year from Friday to Sunday, June 5-7. Tickets for the South of England Show (open 9am to 6.30pm each day) can be purchased at www.seas.org.uk and cost £25.20 for adults and £23.40 for senior citizens/students (inclusive of a 10 per cent advance discount until May 28).
