‘What an incredible night!’ Seaford Bonfire Society thanks everyone who supported an evening of fireworks and fun

The 2026 event was ‘A Celebration of the Saxon Age’ and featured torchlit processions, a bonfire and a grand fireworks finale that was hosted by the society.

Seaford Bonfire Society said on Facebook on Sunday, October 18: “What an incredible night! Thank you to everyone who came out to support Seaford Bonfire Society and celebrated our local Sussex heritage with us.

“To keep this amazing tradition going and ensure we can bring you another spectacular, safe, and family-friendly event, we need your help. With rising costs year after year, every single contribution makes a world of difference in helping us reach our £5,000 goal.”

People who would like to support the society can donate at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/seafordbonfiresociety2026.

The society thanked the two fireworks display companies – Frontier Fireworks and Griffin Fireworks – for making the night ‘unforgettable’.

The society said: “Both teams put on an absolute masterclass of sound, light, and magic. You truly lit up the sky and brought so many smiles to our town.”

The society also thanked everyone at The White Lion Pub and Hotel for hosting its open meetings and other sessions throughout the year. The post said: “Most importantly, we want to recognise the Tracy family. Your ongoing support, generosity, and everything you do for the Bonfire Society behind the scenes throughout the year means the world to us. Every single kind gesture is hugely appreciated by all our members. Thank you for being such a vital part of our community and for supporting our bonfire tradition.”
