Family firm celebrates 80 years in business

A Worthing antiques, which was founded in 1936, is celebrating 80 years in business.

Wilsons Antiques was set up by Harrold Wilson and now Frank Wilson, who joined the family firm 50 years ago, runs the business, specialising in quality English antique.

The shop is located in Tarring Road, Worthing.

From Tuesday (October 4) to Saturday October 8, Wilsons Antiques will be holding an exhibition of recent purchases including an early Victorian folding mahogany dumb waiter and an oil painting ‘On the river Tay’ by Scottish artist William Wilson.

These exhibitions will run from 10am to 5pm each day.

Also available will be a collection of Worthing period engravings and old post cards, as well as a late Victorian watercolour of Broadwater Mill looking towards the sea showing Broadwater and West Tarring churches by Robert Thorne Waite.
