Family friendly picturesque pub

The Highlands Inn is a family friendly, picturesque pub on the outskirts of Uckfield owned by Mark and Emma Flaherty.

There is a large woodland garden, covered decking area and a patio. There is also a large carpark and the pub is ideally situated close to public transport links to Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne.

The large restaurant makes it ideal for those big get-togethers and the small nooks and comfy sofas offer intimacy with candles and a roaring fire.

There is great range of wines, soft drinks, lagers and ales. They serve the Lewes brewed Harveys Best as well as a Guest Ale and they’ve recently been awarded the Cask Marque Accreditation for Real Ale.

The Highlands Inn caters for all ages and offers families a value for money children’s menu, baby changing facilities, highchairs, an outdoor play area and indoor games and colouring for the little ones.

The pub’s menu is offered Monday to Friday with an excellent Carvery on a Sunday which boasts 4 meats and piles of roasties, Yorkshires and fresh vegetables.

The menu has a good range of traditional pub favourites such as Pie and Mash and locally caught Haddock and Chips as well as delicious dishes such as Pork Belly and Moules Mariniere.

There’s also a specials board which changes weekly.

The Public Bar has 2 screens which show all terestial sports games, pool table dart board, quiz and fruit machines. This bar also doubles as the function room which can hold up to 60 people and is popular for Christenings, Birthdays and Weddings.
