The House of Commons Library recently published data* revealing the median (middle) house price for each area of the country to provide an indicator of affordability.
The information shows a wide fluctuation in prices, starting from £266,950 in seaside towns Bognor and Littlehampton, with house buyers stumping up an average of £422,500 in the rural Arundel and South Downs constituency.
