Now, we can reveal the top 10 destinations people going in the opposite direction were headed for.
A total of 24,661 people left the area for a new life elsewhere in the UK in the same 12-month period, the Office for National Statistics figures show.
It was interesting to see that 320 people moved out of Brighton and Hove to Scotland, 237 moved to Manchester and 219 moved to Birmingham.
But they did not make the top 10. From neighbouring Adur and Lewes to Bristol, here are the places draining the most people from Brighton and Hove.
