New band night to boost music scene

A new monthly band night is launching today (Friday) at The Brass Monkey, in Havelock Road, Hastings.

The inaugural Destination Hastings event features local bands The Kid Kapichi and Dorey the Wise.

The Kid Kapichi’s star is rising, with the band regularly gigging around London, and they recently supported rockers Skunk Anansie in Nottingham.

Dorey the Wise, an indie pop foursome took second place at the Surface Festival – an international event promoting new music, and the band’s self-titled debut EP is now out.

Tonight’s event at The Brass Monkey is free entry and runs from 9pm.
