Turning back the clocks to 1940s

The 1066 Jazz Club at Azur Marina Pavilion, St Leonards, will be putting back the clock to the 1940s for a themed evening tonight (May 17).

The Harlem Five will play a wide range of traditional jazz, swing and blues from the ‘30s and ‘40s including Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, and Duke Ellington.

The band is Jeremy Huggett on saxes and vocals with Ron Milford (trombone and vocals), Pete Miller (guitar), Colin Fulcher (bass) and Brian Clarke (drums).

The Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers will perform a dance display. Doors open at 7.30pm, dancing from 8pm to 11pm. Entry is £10 (£8 members.
