53 FAIL BREATH TESTS
Police figures just released show officers conducted 1165 breath tests resulting in 53 failing the test for alcohol (five per cent), a one per cent reduction from December 2005.
Supt Paul Morrison, Sussex Police Road Policing Department said: 'Most people do heed the warning that drink driving leads to crashes, which lead to the loss of life, and choose not to drink and drive. There are those however who still disregard the safety of others and the clear links with crashes.
