90 mile charity bike ride for Chichester solicitors

Cycling solicitors from Chichester are preparing for a 90-mile charity bike ride to raise much-needed funds for a local brain injury support group.

Full-service South Coast law firm George Ide LLP has organised a group of some fifteen riders to tackle a challenging circular route that on Saturday, July 2, will take them through the West Sussex countryside.

George Ide’s team of cyclists hope to raise in the region of £10,000 for Headway West Sussex (HWS), a charitable organisation set up to improve life after Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) for victims, their families, and carers. The charity provides invaluable support and advice for ABI sufferers in the West Sussex region.

Sue French, who suffered a brain injury and is being supported by HWS, said: “There are times when we struggle with our confidence, concentration and attention but we are able to give ourselves a boost, have a laugh and relax together in a safe and sensitive group environment.

“The volunteers are tremendous and we are provided with support from a psychologist. Headway West Sussex gives us a boost when we most need it so that we can look forward to life and dealing with day to day problems,” she added.

Paul Lewis, George Ide partner and the firm’s head of accident management, marketing and business development said: “It is important to all of us at George Ide to raise money for a great cause like HWS, which does so much for people across the region.

“Saturday’s long bike ride will certainly be a challenge but we’re hoping to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity. We’re also hoping the great British weather will be kind on the day and hope that the cheers of our families, friends and colleagues at George Ide LLP will spur us on!”
