ROTHER District Council has confirmed that each time it is required to advertise changes in taxi drivers' licence fees, the cost to the authority is around £1,000 - a figure given to councillors at a licensing and general purposes committee last month.
This breaks down to £519 in newspaper advertising charges (Observer series, Courier) and £500 in legal and administrative costs.
