A late VE celebration for Beeding
CHILDREN at an Upper Beeding school have held a VE Day party.
Pupils in year six at The Towers Convent School, Upper Beeding, completed their World War II history topic by holding their own VE Day celebration
Headmistress Carole Baker said: "Whilst the girls are aware that VE Day is May 8 and not December they dressed up in costume and held a party at the end of term to try to capture the atmosphere of elation experienced at the end of the war in Europe."
