A-level students make the grade in Littlehampton and Angmering sixth-forms

STUDENTS at The Littlehampton Academy and The Angmering School are celebrating another impressive set of A-level grades today (Thursday, August 16).

Academy sixth-formers achieved record results, with 48 per cent of passes at A* to B grades, up from 36 per cent last year and an overall pass rate of 99 per cent.

Angmering students maintained the school’s 40 per cent A* to B passes of last year, and the overall rate was once more 100 per cent.

Heading for Oxford University will be Angmering students Maryanne Saunders, to study history of art at St Catherine’s College,thanks to her three As, and Claire Williams, whose three As and a B confirmed her place at Queen’s College, to read chemistry.

At least 10 Academy students gained the grades they needed to guarantee their places at elite universities.
