This free event, at Chowns Hill, Hastings, is billed as a great family day out and visitors will have the chance to meet the cats at the centre and see the valuable work undertaken there. Funds raised on the day will go towards the animals in the centre’s care.

There will be a host of activities to keep cat lovers and children busy, including a chance to talk to knowledgeable volunteers and meet the cats. There will also be a variety of stalls, including crafts, games, homemade cakes and refreshments.

The day is aimed to be fun for all who attend with a raffle and tombola with great prizes to be won.

A Bach flower remedies practitioner will give consultations to pets and owners in return for a small donation to assist the cattery’s work.

Myra Grove, Cattery Manager for Bluebell Ridge said: “We always look forward to opening our doors to the public on our open days as it’s a chance for people to have fun while meeting some of the cats that we care for. We’d love as many people as possible to come along and support our work.”

Money raised on the day will go towards helping cats like six-month old kittens Jasper and Bella who, after a lot of love and care, found their forever home with lovely people who have helped them to enjoy life again.
