A sporting chance

SPORTS clubs and organisations from across Adur came together last Wednesday at Boundstone Community College to give young people a chance to try out new activities.

The sports club fayre saw groups from around the district bring canoes, cycling machines and punch bags to Boundstone.

Wickers Gym Club gave a gymnastics display and other highlights included displays from Worthing and Boundstone's female rugby players and a giant rugby ball, which was on loan to Shoreham Rugby Football Club from Twickenham.

"It is clear from today that there is a huge variety of sports on offer to young people in our district and our clubs are extremely keen to recruit new members."

School sports co-ordinator Alison Groves said: "Today's event was a great success and our thanks must go to all of the local sports club volunteers who have given up their free time to be here today."The sports club fayre saw groups from around the district bring canoes, cycling machines and punch bags to Boundstone.
