A taste of Hollywood comes to college

MUSIC students at Rye College are staging another concert to raise money for charity.

The show, entitled A Night at the Movies, takes place on Friday November 19 at 7pm.

The evening will showcase the vocal talents of students from Year 7 through to Year 11. It will see the college hall transformed for the evening, the students will be suitably dressed in glamorous attire whilst the audience will be able to enjoy cocktails and soak up the atmosphere.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Rye will be attending.

The musical programme of group and solo performances will feature a selection of classic Hollywood and Broadway numbers.

The charity chosen for this event is The Children’s Trust in Tadworth. The Trust provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury across the UK.

All profits from the event will be donated to the Trust.

Young enterprise students from Rye College will host a raffle and an exclusive auction will take place, featuring many one-off items including a piece of artwork generously donated by local artist Richard Adams.

Tickets can be purchased for this event at Rye College on 01797 222545. Ticket prices are £80 for a table of eight, single tickets at £10 per head and Balcony tickets at £5 per head.
