A22 CRASH VICTIM NAMED

The motor-cyclist who died in a crash on the A22 in the early hours of Sunday has been named by Sussex Police.

They said Luiz Simeone, aged 41, of Bedfordswell Road, Eastbourne, died as a result of a crash between Hailsham and Polegate.

At about 2.50am on Sunday, April 23, a Honda 499 motor cycle was being ridden south between Hailsham and Polegate.

It crossed the central grass reservation and collided with a Vauxhall Corsa being driven north.

The motor-cyclist died at the scene. The Corsa driver, a 50-year-old man from Eastbourne, was unhurt.
