West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has undertaken a £153,000 scheme to improve the drainage system serving the road to the east of the village.

Two-way traffic lights have been in place on the A283 since work began on January 20.

The A283 will have to close on two weekends - from 6am on Saturday February 15 to 5am on Monday February 17 and from 6am on Saturday February 22 to 5am on Monday February 24.

A signed diversion for road users will be in place for both closures.

The project is expected to be completed by early March.

A WSCC spokesperson said its contractor Balfour Beatty is working seven days a week to get the project finished as quickly as possible.
