New Seahaven division Inspector Mark Huff said his team of officers were prepared for the new coursing season which officially starts in the autumn. 'We have a plan of action in place to highlight areas were it is happening. I have ensured all officers are aware of the problems and plan to nip it in the bud in the early stages.'

Hare coursing is not illegal but can only take place under licence between September and March with the permission of the landowner.
