Affordable homes initiative in Angmering builds on its support

MORE than 20 people have signed up to a new initiative to provide affordable homes and community facilities in Angmering for people living in the village.

The fledgling Angmering Community Land Trust (CLT) held an open afternoon at the village hall on Saturday to raise awareness of its aims.

About 45 villagers turned out to learn more, with half paying £10 to join the trust and two expressing interest in becoming directors.

If the CLT goes ahead, it will be a public interest company, operating on a not-for-profit basis.

Interim company secretary for the CLT Peter Spooner said a prospectus for the trust would be issued in two weeks’ time. It was hoped to recruit 100 members in due course.
