Aldwick road repairs held up

Repairs to a notorious road through Aldwick are being held up by utility companies, a county councillor has said.

Paul Wells said the resurfacing of Fish Lane had to wait while the firms decided when they were going to carry out work there.

"Once that has been booked in, Fish Lane is down to be re-surfaced," he told Aldwick Parish Council.

Fish Lane has been the source of repeated complaints about its potholed condition being dangerous, especially to cyclists.

Carol Wiseman, the parish council's chairman, said: "We are still getting lots and lots of complaints about the roads. Some of the holes that were filled in are now re-opening again."
