All the fun of the Crowhurst fayre
The fayre will be opened by Crowhurst’s favourite, John Spall, who describes himself as a ‘long term but still active old resident’.

Hide AdTim Knaggs of the Crowhurst Fayre Committee says an integral part of the event will be the Crowhurst and District Horticultural Society’s annual Summer Show. “It will be held in the marquee, with its wonderful displays of flowers, vegetables, cookery and handicrafts,” he said. “Once again, local beekeepers plan to mount an observation hive as part of this show.”
Highlights in the Arena will be the Section Five Drummers, Taekwondo (Korean martial art), a pipe display by Jon Bartholomew Hastings Town Crier- recently named the UK’s best.
Outdoor activities for all ages include paint balling, axe throwing, a children’s tug of war, pony rides, a Romany caravan and a coconut shy. For petrolheads, there’s a display of classic, vintage and veteran cars and motor bikes. A fire engine will available for be children to visit and talk to the crew. Furry Friends and 1066 Birds of Prey along with Spinning Pictures and demonstrations by wool spinners, lacemakers and a portrait painter. An array of stalls include village groups, societies and crafts.

Hide AdA raffle has many prizes, including a £150 Selfridges voucher.
There’s also a licensed bar, home-made cakes, barbeque, food hall, Pimms bar and ice cream van. Entry adult £1.50, child and OAP 50p, disabled free.
