Angmering housing campaigners call meeting a ‘fiasco’

CAMPAIGNERS fighting against proposed housing in Angmering called a consultation into the potential scheme a “fiasco”.

A consultation meeting into Arun’s draft local plan – which could see 590 new homes being built in Angmering – was held on Saturday at the village hall. More than 200 residents attended.

However, Sue Ware, of the Save Angmering Village group, claimed the day was a “shambles” and that officials were ill-prepared.

Sue said: “It was a farce. The maps were wrong and they didn’t have enough staff. It was a shambles.”
