Animal Aid competition

YOUNG, creative, imaginative people are invited to enter a nationwide art and poetry competition.

This is the second youth art and poetry competition organised by Animal Aid '“ the UK's largest organisation campaigning on behalf of animals.

The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 11 and 18 years.

Entrants are required to create a piece of artwork, or write a poem, on the theme of factory farming '“ a subject that regularly appears in the national media.

The winning entries will be displayed at an award ceremony in London at the end of June, where winners will be presented with their prizes by children's BBC TV presenter, Rani Price, co-presenter of wildlife show ROAR.

Prizes include a games console, ipod and digital camera.

Entries must be clearly marked on the back with the entrants' name, age and address and posted to:

Youth Competition, Animal Aid, The Old Chapel, Bradford Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1AW.

Closing date for entries is 6th May 2010.
