Animals saved from outbuilding fire near Newhaven
Fire crews are currently dealing with a blaze at an outbuilding near Newhaven.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to a single storey building abaze on Lewes Road at 4.08pm today (Sunday, July 31).
According to the service spokesperson, two cats and eight chickens have been saved from the building.
The spokesperson said the fire is ‘ongoing but under control’ (as of 5.20pm).
