Apples take centre stage at town’s
farmer’s market

RYE Farmer’s Market is encourahing people to come along and celebrate Apple Day with them next Wednesday.

Jill Halliday, from the Market said: “Join us to taste stunning local apples, apple juices, apple crisps and apple pies.

Duck for apples, if you’re brave and enter our longest apple peel competition and attempt to break the UK record of 37 feet.

“Bake a beautiful pie with local apples and bring it to the market for 10am on Wednesday to enter our Best Apple Pie competition.

“The winner will receive a hamper of local goodies from Rye Farmer’s Market.”

Rye Farmers Market takes place every Wednesday at Strand Quay 10 till 1 in summer, 10 till 12 in winter.
