April showers fail to dampen spirits for visitors at colourful spring show

In spite of April showers the Storrington Horticultural Society's Spring Show held on Saturday April 9 was a great success and very well attended with many exhibits.

The various types of tulips, daffodils together with other flowers and entries made a bright, colourful and interesting show.

The home produce section was very well supported with delicious cakes and preserves.

The handicraft section contained some exceptional quilting and incredibly detailed models.

As always some of the stars of the show were in the children’s section where imagination and skill had produced some delightful entries and produced overall a very interesting and varied show.

The refreshments on offer did well as usual with many different homemade cakes available with a cup of tea or coffee making the whole afternoon a very enjoyable occasion.
