ARLINGTON ARTS GROUP: The group meets on March 23 Arlington Village Hall between 7pm and 9pm. Demonstrations are at 7pm at Arlington Village Hall, Kate Osborne will be present, please get in touch for details on our website www.arlingtonartsgroup.co.uk or call 01323 485153. Third Thursday of the month, outdoor painting sessions.

LITTER PICK: On Saturday, March 25, starting at 10am from Arlington Village Hall there will be an organised litter pick. Equipment will be available at the start time and teams will spread out through Chilverbridge Road, The Street, Wilbees Road and Caneheath. The litter pick will end around 12.30pm. OPEN DAY: On Saturday, April 1 starting at 10am, South East Water is holding an Open Day at Arlington Water Treatment Works and the Reservoir. Entry is strictly by ticket only, and places are subject to confirmation. Visit http://southeastwater.co.uk/opendays to book or telephone 01732 375410 between 9am and 5pm weekdays. An ID will be required and access is not suitable for people with impaired mobility or children under the age of 14 years as the site is a working water treatment facility.

JUMBLE SALE: On Saturday, April 1, starting at 2pm there will be a jumble sale in Arlington Village Hall. Sorting of donations will start at 2pm on Friday, March 31.

BLUEBELL WALK: The Arlington Bluebell Walk will be open from April 8 to May 14 at Bates Green Farm. Once the walk is open the www.bluebellwalk.co.uk website will be updated every Friday with a mini report, giving an overview as to how expectations are for the bluebells in the forthcoming week, but remember, it is nature that dictates their speed of growth.

ARLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL: The next Arlington Parish Council meeting will be held on Thursday, April 20 in Upper Dicker Village Hall along with the Parish Assembly. Further details will be available on the parish website at http://arlingtonparish.org.uk A councillor position on the parish council will be available from the beginning of the new council year and interested parishioners should contact the clerk or attend the above meeting to establish what this role entails. VILLAGE MARKET: The market is held in the village hall on the first Tuesday of every month from 10am to 11.30am. There is a variety of stalls, selling home-grown produce, bread and cakes, plants, bric-a-brac and silverware. Admission is free and stalls cost a token £1 to hire. COFFEE MORNINGS: Every Thursday morning, between 10.40am to noon in Upper Dicker Village Hall, a coffee morning and book exchange takes place. All are welcome.

YOGA CLASSES: Yoga classes will be held every Monday in the village hall from 3pm to 4.15pm. It is open to all levels as the yoga taught here can be adapted to suit most individual needs and abilities. For further details please contact Lindy on [email protected]

DOG SHOW: Advance notice is given of the Pet Rescue Dog Show to be held on Sunday, May 7 starting at noon in Upper Dicker Village Hall. Lots of classes. Entries from 11am. Further details will be provided later.

QUIZ NIGHT: There will be a Quiz Night held on Saturday May 13, 7.30 pm in Upper Dicker Village Hall. Adults £7.50 Under 12s £4, includes two course supper with tea or coffee. Bring your own other drinks.
