ROADWORKS: Today, Friday, in Station Road, Berwick there may be two way traffic control. Between the dates of July 21 and August 3 there may be a road closure in Tye Hill Lane, Arlington due to duct works.

MARQUEE RAISING: Tomorrow, Saturday, at noon, helping hands are needed for the marquee raising at Glebe Field next to Arlington Village Hall. Further details from Jim on 01323 485153.

WALK ARUND THE CHURCHES: Each year there is a walk around the five churches in the Benefice of Arlington, Berwick, Selmeston-cum-Alciston and Wilmington. Tomorrow, Saturday, at 8am, the walk will commence at Berwick Church and return to Berwick Church about 3pm for a cream tea. All are welcome.

HOME GROUP: The Arlington Home Group will meet on Monday between 7.30pm and 8.30pm at Pickhams, Hayreed Lane. For details, please contact 01323 871148.

MOBILE LIBRARY: On Friday, July 15, the mobile library will call at Arlington Village Hall at 2.20pm to 2.45pm and Berwick Village Hall at 2.55pm to 3.10pm. Further details from 0345 6080195/196.

ARLINGTON WEEKEND: On Saturday July 16, from 10.30am to 10.30pm and Sunday, July 17, from 10.30am to 5pm, Arlington Village will be celebrating a weekend of events including Arlington Gets Cajun, an Arts Show, live music, village picnics, a book sale and events in the field behind Arlington Village Hall. On Sunday, there will be a Five Villages Summer Party starting at 10am with a Songs of Parise in the marquee in the field behind the village hall.

PARISH COUNCIL: The next meeting of the full Arlington Parish Council will be on Thursday at 7.30pm at Arlington Village Hall. Details of the agenda and minutes of previous meetings can be found at http://arlingtonparish.org.uk

BERWICK PARISH COUNCIL: The next meeting is the full council meeting on Thursday July 28 at 7:30pm at Berwick Village Hall. The agenda will be attached here nearer the time. Members of the public and the press are cordially invited to attend. http://berwickparishcouncil.org/
