Armed police respond after two men seen 'in possession of a firearm' at Bracklesham Bay

Armed police responded to an incident at Bracklesham Bay last night (Monday, June 15).

According to Sussex Police, officers received a report of two men in possession of a firearm just after 8.10pm.

A spokesperson said: "Officers swiftly responded and located two men on the beach. They were detained and the firearm – an unloaded BB gun – was seized.

"They were given strong words of advice and signed the BB gun over to police for destruction."
