Armed police respond to incident in Bognor

Armed police were sent to an incident in Bognor Regis this morning (Tuesday, July 21).

According to Sussex Police, officers were alerted to reports of a man ‘seen with a large knife’ leaving a property.

A spokesperson said: “The report was received from a member of the public at 11.25am on Tuesday.

“Armed officers responded and a number of men emerged from a flat in Longford Road.

“There was no trace of a knife, nor of the man said to have been in possession of it.”
