Arrest after man dies in two-car crash on A259 in Felpham

A man has been arrested after a driver died in a two-car crash in Felpham.

The crash occurred at around 6.20am at Flansham Park on Tuesday morning (February 24).

A man in his 40s, who was driving a Mazda, has died as a result of his injuries.

Police have arrested a local man, believed to be from Eastern Europe, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Inspector Steve Grace, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened and would ask them to contact police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 1013 of February 24th, Operation Blaydon."

The road between Comet Corner and Flansham Park has now re-opened. It was closed for almost ten hours.
