Arsonists torch car in Littlehampton

THIS is the moment that firefighters quelled a car blaze sparked by arsonists in Littlehampton.

Firefighters were called to Cornwall Road shortly before 2am on Saturday (November 23), following reports that a car was ablaze.

A crew was dispatched from Littlehampton fire station, in Maltravers Road, to tackle the incident, which investigators have since determined was started deliberately.

The firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used two high-pressure hose reels to douse the flames, which were eventually extinguished at about 2.25am. The car was destroyed by the fire.

The arson has since been left with Sussex Police to deal with. Those with information are asked to call 101.
