Art nouveau silver stolen in Ford burglary
ART nouveau objects worth thousands of pounds were stolen from a house at Ford while the family living there were away.
They returned home to Ford Lane on Saturday, January 8 to find they had been burgled and 18 sterling silver art nouveau items, including three hand mirrors and two hairbrushes, had been stolen.
The property, worth a total of £3,000, was all stamped, with dates from 1875-1930.
