Artists shine at Rye’s Christmas Bizarre

RYE’S School Creative Centre showcased its array of talented artists at the weekend when it held a Christmas Bizarre and Hall of Stalls.

Visitors were able to buy gifts created by local artists and ranging from jewellery and ceramics to textiles and paintings.

They were also able to view a magical animated installation by award winning artist Nick Archer.

Set to Edward Elgar’s ‘The Snow’, Winter’s Tale is the culmination of six months work and takes as its inspiration Archer’s recent series of paintings based on snow and winter. The Winter’s Tale was premiered at The School Creative Centre before moving to Paris as part of an extended exhibition.

Nick was joined at the weekend by fellow artists; James Hooker, Ruby Antonowicz and Rory Snookes.
