Arundel A27 crossing repairs are short-lived

PEDESTRIANS are dicing with death again to cross the busy A27 road at Arundel, just 24 hours after a well-used crossing was repaired, having been out of action for a fortnight.

The Highways Agency was arranging for temporary lights to be installed on the pedestrian crossing at The Causeway after another breakdown today (Thursday, August 1).

Traders and Arundel and Southdowns MP Nick Herbert raised concerns over the delay in carrying out the initial repair work, which was finally completed yesterday.

However, this afternoon the agency reported that the lights had failed again.
