Arundel Castles to be invaded by swashbucklers
The historic battlements will be besieged by the notorious crew of The Mermaid, a band of 18th century crooks, on Thursday (May 29).
Members of the Raven Tor Living History Group will be bringing this band of Sussex-based marauders to life in a live-action display.

Hide AdFor adventurous pirates-in-waiting, there will be the opportunity to try their hands at archery and learn the art of swashbuckling with have-a-go fencing.
The Yarnsmith of Norwich storyteller will share wild and wonderful tales from the 18th Century
Castle manager Bryan McDonald is looking forward to seeing the castle awash with pirates.
He said: “The pirates and smugglers days here at Arundel Castle always generate much excitement among our visitors, particularly the younger guests.
