Arundel mats welcome in festival

THE Arundel Gallery Trail will be the toast of the town’s pubs during the festival.

Arundel Brewery teamed up with the trail’s organisers to invite artists to design special beermats to promote the festival and trail.

And at Monday’s festival launch, the winners were announced, with 1,000 mats of each design to be distributed to the pubs next month.

They are Cows, by Hazel Evans, Madonna, by Kathy Bailey, and Pub Scene, by Alex Berdysheff.

This, the 25th year of the trail, will feature works by more than 100 artists in more than 60 venues.
