Arun’s planning applications

A HOTEL in Arundel is seeking planning planning permission to make a number of changes to its premises.

The Norfolk Arms Hotel, in the High Street, wants to change the use of a ground floor room from a staff bedroom to a guest bedroom.

It also plans to reconfigure the third floor to create additional bedrooms and change four staff bedrooms to three guest bedrooms.

This application affects the character of the Arundel Conservation Area.

Barnham:

West Sussex County Council wants to fell one oak tree, one ash tree (replacing it with two oak trees) and crown lift three oak trees, one sycamore tree and one monterey cypress tree to a height of 2.5 metres above existing path. The council also aims to crown lift northwest branch to a height of 2.5 metres above existing path to one judas tree and remove a minor limb overhanging on the highway to one pin oak tree at land to the east of Barnham Lane.

East Preston:

One new dwelling (at Little Fosters) and associated landscape works on land at Tamarisk Way.

Littlehampton:

Rear and partial single-storey side extension at 68 Cornwall Road. This application may be determined under delegated powers by Littlehampton Town Council.

Side extension at 5 Chapel Close. This application may be determined under delegated powers by Littlehampton Town

Rustington:

Redevelopment of site to provide two detached three-bedroom dwellings with integral garages at 22 Ruston Park.

Single storey rear extension and rear garden decking at 63 North Lane.
