Ashburnham Chapel is holding a joint Good Friday Service, today April 6 with St. Peters Church at 2.30 pm preachers Revd, Brian Bowyer and Revd. Francis Cumberlege. Then on Easter Sunday, April 8, they have a special celebration service at 6.30pm when the preacher will be Barry Turnwell. A warm welcome is extended to everybody from all at the Chapel.

The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Thursday April 12 and 26, 9.50am - 10.10am.

Ashburnham & Penhurst WI are meeting on April 16, 7.30pm at Ashburnham Village Hall. This months guest is Sandra Voss from the Royal Greenwich Observatory who will be telling them about the history of the observatory and its current role. The Ashburnham and Penhurst book group gets together on Friday April 27. This month, they are reading Dickens’ “Our Mutual Friend”. If you’d like to borrow a copy to read, give Nicky a call. From now on, the book group will be meeting on the fourth Friday of the month.Remember, you don’t have to come to their gatherings to read the books - just ask Nicky if you’d like to borrow a copy. The Ashburnham & Penhurst Diamond Jubilee Fund Raising Committee are holding a coffee morning at The Sports Pavilion on Saturday April 28 10.00am – 12.00pm.
