Attacker bites piece out of man's ear

THE tip of a man's ear was bitten off after he argued with a rowdy gang in the street outside his home.

The man, from Collingwood Close, Peacehaven, was attacked after he asked a group of four men to keep the noise down in the early hours.

However, one of the gang became aggressive and wrestled him to the ground, biting his ear.

The attacker then ran off into Pelham Rise. He is described as white, aged 17-20, 6ft 2in, of average build, with short dark hair and wearing dark clothing.

A police spokesman said: 'The man heard a noise outside his house and an argument developed. It ended with him receiving quite nasty bite to the ear for which he is still receiving hospital treatment.'
