AUDIO: Schoolchildren kept inside after shooting

A HEAD teacher describes his school’s response to a shooting that happened this morning nearby in Barnham.

St Philip Howard School head David Carter said students were kept inside and at the front of the school this morning.

It is believed the school has since returned to normality following the arrest of a man in his 30s.

The shooting happened at a house in Appletree Drive this morning.

Police are not looking for anyone else.

A man in his 50s was treated at St Richards hospital for a minor injury to his chin after being shot.
