Author speaks

Mr Sedgwick spoke to students from years seven and eight at the school's Church Street site about the new book, which is published on July 1.

He also talked to the schools Readers Rock Group, who have been reading a series of books, including one by Mr Sedgwick, along with youngsters from four other local schools.

Mr Sedgwick talked about writing his new book and the pupils had a chance to buy a copy before it was officially released.

The Foreshadowing is based in 1915 and tells the story of 17 year old Alexandra Fox who has a privileged life in Brighton.

She starts having premonitions about the brutal horrors of the Somme and then she starts to see what will happen to her brothers Edgar and Tom.
