Set4Success supports young talented sports people from the Horsham district to achieve their potential.

The costs involved in training and competing at a high level are often a deterrent to the fulfilment of ambition and capability.

As a result an individual may lose interest and the nation a potential champion. S4S was set up in 2011 as a charitable partnership between The Rotary Club of Horsham, Horsham District Council, Horsham District Schools and local businesses including Ringway Ltd, Spofforths, AToM, Wakefields Jewellers and Tree Top Design & Print.

Young people can apply for an award which will provide some limited funding, plus give concessionary access for a year, provided by PfP Leisure, to local sports facilities across the district, plus create public awareness of the achievements of the winners.

Over 100 awards have been made in the last five years covering about 30 sports including rugby, karate, baseball, athletics, diving, cycling, volleyball, badminton, ice skating, cricket, softball, trampolining, swimming, dancing, gymnastics, golf, hockey, water polo, artistic gymnastics, rugby officiating, climbing, triathlon, equestrian/eventing, short mat bowls, endurance horse riding, judo, kick boxing/K-1/Muay Thai , trampoline gymnastics, football and freestyle kayaking.

Past Set4Success winners include up and coming stars such as Lucy Wood (winner of silver medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games playing for England Hockey ), Marco Penge (under-18 European top ranked golfer ), and Charlie Piper ( Harlequins rugby ) .
